About Us
The decision is now or never. The work is daily.
Now or Never is an independent publication covering health, fitness, nutrition, and intentional living. It was founded by Paul Meisner on a single premise: the hardest part of getting healthy isn't the training or the diet. It's deciding to start, and then not quitting once it stops being interesting.
Now
Waiting for the right moment is how most people spend a decade. There isn't a better January. The decision is available today and it costs nothing to make.
Never
Not a threat, a fact. Time is the one input you can't buy back, and the compounding you skip in your thirties isn't recoverable in your fifties.
Editorial standards
Evidence over hype
Where the research is unsettled, we say so instead of picking the exciting side.
Discipline over shortcuts
No protocols built on extremes. No pretending the hard part is optional.
Five-year outcomes
The question we ask of any approach is whether it still works in five years.
Plain language
Guidance that needs a decoder ring isn't guidance.
What we cover
Who writes it
Paul Meisner
Paul Meisner is the founder and editor of Now or Never. He was born and raised in Germany and came to the United States for college, where he studied software engineering and information systems. He works in SEO and operations, keeps a few head of cattle on the side, and gardens badly but persistently. He came to the Catholic faith in 2022 after growing up without one — a decision that shapes how he writes about discipline, stewardship, and the long game. He lives in Freedom, Wisconsin with his wife and children. He is not a physician, and this site does not publish medical advice.
On health content
Educational only. Not medical advice, not a substitute for your own provider. Talk to a doctor before changing anything.
On paid placements
Some features are paid and every one is labeled. Payment never buys a favorable opinion. Full disclosure →
See our full editorial policy for how sources are chosen and corrections are handled.
Health isn't about perfection. It's responsibility, discipline and informed choices made repeatedly over time.
The decision is now or never. Everything after that is just showing up.
