We may include affiliate links on this site in the future — if you click one and buy something, we’d earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Any affiliate link would only ever go to a product we’d recommend anyway; a commission would never determine whether something appears here or how we describe it.

As of publish, we are not enrolled in the Amazon Associates program or any other affiliate program. If and when that changes, the specific program will be named here before any affiliate link goes live.

Sponsored features and paid partnerships#

Some features on this site are paid placements. Brands pay to be featured on our partners page and in dedicated feature articles.

How we handle it:

• Every paid feature is clearly labeled as sponsored on the page itself, above the fold — not in a footnote
• Outbound links in paid features are marked with rel="sponsored"
• Payment does not buy a favorable opinion, and it does not exempt a brand from our editorial standards
• We decline brands whose claims or practices don’t meet those standards, regardless of budget
• We can pull a feature if a partner’s claims change

Editorial content is separate#

When a brand, product, or practitioner is mentioned in a regular article and no money changed hands, that’s editorial. No payment, no arrangement, no obligation. If money was involved, the page says so.

Contributors#

Contributors listed on our contributors page are not paid placements. We don’t pay them to write and they don’t pay us to appear. If that ever changes for a given person, they move to the partners page.

Gifted products#

If we receive a product free of charge for review, we’ll say so in that article.
