Contributors#

Who writes here, and why we asked them.

Now or Never is written primarily by its founder. When a subject calls for expertise beyond that, we bring in someone who has it rather than researching our way to a confident-sounding article.

Guest contributors are invited on the strength of what they know. We don’t pay for guest articles and nobody pays us to publish one. Where a contributor is connected to a brand featured on this site, we say so on their entry.

Founder and Editor

Paul Meisner is the founder and editor of Now or Never. He writes about training, nutrition, faith, and the long game of staying healthy while running a business and raising a family. He is not a physician, and Now or Never does not publish medical advice — what it publishes is the reasoning, the research, and the lived experience behind decisions readers are making anyway.

Guest contributors

Invited writers. Not staff, not paid, not paying.

How guest contributors are selected#

Three things:

They know something specific. Not general wellness enthusiasm — an actual domain where they’ve done the work and can say something a well-read generalist couldn’t.

They’ll say what they don’t know. The most useful contributors are the ones who mark the edges of the evidence instead of writing past them.

They fit how this site thinks. Long view, no hype, comfortable saying the boring answer is usually the right one.

Want to write for us?#

We’re open to it, selectively.

Send a short note through the contact form with “Contributor or guest content” selected. Include who you are, what you’d want to write about, and why you’re the person to write it. One or two paragraphs.

What we don’t accept: pre-written drafts pitched cold, articles whose real purpose is a link, and anything generic enough that it could have been sent to a hundred other sites. Guest articles are not for sale in either direction. If you’re looking for paid placement, that’s the partners page — a different thing, clearly labeled.
